The phrase "Huang Xiaoxi Chi Wan Fan （黃小西吃晚飯）" is a clever Chinese homophonic reference to six of Guizhou's most iconic attractions. The world "吃" (pronouncing "chi", meanning "red") is for the "赤 (chi)" in Chishui Danxia (赤水丹霞）.

2010年8月，由貴州赤水、福建泰寧、湖南崀山、廣東丹霞山、江西龍虎山和浙江江郎山聯(lián)合捆綁申報(bào)的“中國(guó)丹霞”世界自然遺產(chǎn)項(xiàng)目表決通過(guò)，赤水丹霞成為我國(guó)第8個(gè)世界自然遺產(chǎn)項(xiàng)目、貴州第二個(gè)世界自然遺產(chǎn)地。

In August 2010, China's "Danxia Landform" was inscribed as a World Natural Heritage Site. This joint nomination included Chishui (Guizhou), Taining (Fujian), Langshan (Hunan), Danxiashan (Guangdong), Longhushan (Jiangxi), and Jianglangshan (Zhejiang). With this recognition, Chishui Danxia became China's 8th World Natural Heritage site and Guizhou Province's second such designation.

赤水丹霞既有“千瀑之市”“丹霞之冠”的美譽(yù)，還被稱為“桫欏王國(guó)”。

Chishui Danxia is renowned as the "City of a Thousand Waterfalls" and the "Crown of Danxia Landforms," while also being called as a "Kingdom of Tree Ferns (Alsophila spinulosa)."
